Meet our Principal

Valica Sampson

I am honored to serve as the Middle School Principal at AUS. With over 20 years of experience in education, I've spent 15 of those years in leadership roles specifically at the middle school level, as well as one year at the district level. My career began in Valdosta, Georgia, where I started as a middle school special education ELA co-teacher and progressed to roles including Assistant Principal, Assistant Director of Special Education, and Interim Principal.
I hold a dual Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Management from Valdosta State University. From the same institution, I earned a Master's degree in Special Education. My passion for professional growth led me to Cambridge College for a Master's degree in Education, and to Nova Southeastern University for an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership.
My leadership philosophy is built on clear communication, setting high expectations, and leading by example. I believe these principles are essential for building the positive relationships that are the cornerstone of a successful academic environment.
I look forward to supporting our parents, students, and educators this year. Together, we will build strong connections and help our students reach their full potential.
