Meet our Assistant Principal
Valica Sampson
I am delighted to embark on my 20th year in the field of education. My professional journey commenced in Valdosta, Georgia, where I served as a middle school special education ELA co-teacher for six years, followed by an 11-year tenure as a middle school Assistant Principal. Subsequently, I assumed the role of Assistant Director of Special Education for the district for one year, and most recently, I had the privilege of serving as the Interim Principal of a middle school.
I am an alumna of Valdosta State University, where I earned dual Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Management. Additionally, I pursued further education, attaining a Master's degree in Special Education from the same institution. My commitment to professional development led me to Cambridge College, where I earned a Master's degree in Education, and Nova Southeastern University, where I achieved an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership.
My leadership philosophy revolves around the tenets of effective communication, establishing precise expectations, and setting an example through action. I firmly believe that these elements form the bedrock of positive relationships, which, in turn, are fundamental to fostering a thriving and successful academic environment.
I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to offer unwavering support to parents, students, and educators throughout this academic year. Together, we will cultivate enduring connections and witness the blossoming of our children's potential.
