Background: After teaching in Oregon for three years, I took an opportunity to move and work in Kuwait. For six years, my appreciation for the culture and region flourished and I consider Kuwait my second home. After deciding to take a year off to return to my family in the U.S.A., homesickness for Kuwait quickly set in and I knew I wanted to return to Kuwait the following year. I love my job and consider myself lucky to be a teacher. Furthermore, I believe education is a fundamental right for all people and try to reflect this in my classroom. Learning is a lifelong event. I foster this notion in my students, living proof that one’s education is never completed.
