Meet our Assistant Principal

Ashley Jackson

Learning is a journey of discovery and growth, helping each individual find the path that works best for them. I am honored to be part of the learning community at AUS as the Elementary School Assistant Principal. I believe in nurturing the social, emotional, and academic needs of the whole child to help them find their pathway to success.

Creating a comfortable, collaborative, and supportive environment is essential for allowing each student the space to shine. A school is a community, and by working together, we each play an integral role in enhancing our students' experiences and preparing them to grow into confident, resilient adults. As a leader, I am responsible for building a fun and engaging learning environment. It is my duty to foster a dynamic setting that provides every student the opportunity to connect with themselves while becoming the best version of who they want to be, both now and in the future.

I have had the delightful opportunity to work in education at various levels and love embracing each stage of a child's growth. I began my educational journey in the United States and later became an international educator in Thailand and Honduras, supporting elementary students. In addition to classroom teaching, I bring leadership experience as a Curriculum Coordinator, Literacy Coach, Head of Elementary English, Head of ELL, and Faculty Wellness Coordinator.

Originally from Portland, Oregon, I love the outdoors in the Pacific Northwest. I enjoy being at AUS with my children, Emma and Jack. Together, we love to travel the world and explore. You will always find us active in sports or cooking up something special in the kitchen. I am excited about this school year and all that it will bring.
