Degree(s): Masters Degree in Contemporary Music and Bachelor of Arts from George Enescu National Arts University, Iassy, Romania (EU).

Hometown: Constanta, Romania(EU)

Background: Coming from a family with a musical tradition in teaching and composing vocal music, I felt empowered and motivated to discover very early that human voice is the ultimate instrument. Additionally, interaction through music is one of the most essential activities for every community. I've started my career in Romania at Ovidius State University where I taught for 7 years harmony, music history, music analisys and choir, participated in a national research grant, published music reviews and founded the choral group Voces Felices. In 2010 I moved oversears with my family to Saudi Arabia where I taught grade 3 to 12 music for 4 years. After my 2nd daughter was born in Jeddah we decided to move and explore China where I taught choir, guitar and coached swimming. I am delighted to discover Kuwait and AUS community and am looking forward to deepening my understanding about the local culture. My passions are sports, fishing and learning about other cultures. Looking forward for a great experience!!

My family consists of my husband and our 3 children (2 daughters & 1 son), who are all a part of the AUS family. My husband and I were granted an opportunity of a lifetime to teach abroad in Kuwait which allowed our children to attend a private school as well as travel around the world. This is quite an experience to learn about a different culture and we are definitely elated we decided to come here!

I believe knowledge is powerful and something that can never be taken away from you! As a young girl, I knew I wanted to be in a career field where I could help people get to where they need to be in life! I had tried everything from customer service, accounting, and sales but just was not truly happy. Something about teaching gave me life to see them progress up the educational ladder. Having an opportunity to be a part of them reaching their full potential is the most rewarding experience of being a teacher.

Degree(s): Master of Business Administration (MBA) with concentration in Finance – Strayer University, Washington D.C.; Bachelor of Science in Accounting – Strayer University, Washington D.C.

Hometown: Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A.

Background: I believe that math is in everything we do – an inevitable component of life. As a child, numbers were my first love, which is why I took keen interest in Mathematics from a young age. Throughout my years in school, I grew this love of mathematics by helping others through tutoring and participating with peers in various clubs and extracurricular activities. Professionally, as an adult, I continued to work with numbers for over a decade in the field of investment banking as a licensed Financial Services Representative and Stockbroker. Most recently, in 2018, I returned to the classroom as a teacher guiding students in Algebra I, Geometry and Honors Geometry. As someone who still gets excited when presented with a seemingly impossible math problem, and the joy experienced when it is solved, I look forward to continuing to help others also nurture and grow their love and appreciation through the universal language of numbers.
